I’ve collected a selection of useful plug-ins for working in Figma that I use when working on projects.

I’ve divided them into 3 categories to make it easier for you to find the right plugin.

Plugins for generating content

Unsplash

Unsplash is a huge library of stock photos with an easy search function. Makes it easy to add your favourite photo content directly into your project.

Icons8 Icons

A very useful plugin for finding and adding icons directly to Figma. The collection contains 190,000 icons in 38 styles, and the base is constantly growing. All PNG and SVG files are handmade and the pixel sizes are perfect.

Streamline Icons

Another plugin with a large collection of 30,000+ icons. Each of them is presented in 3 styles: thin, plain and thick, so you have much to choose from.

User Profile

Allows you to display nicely generated avatars in prototype design.

Color Kit

Sometimes used to generate shades of a particular colour. For example, if you need to find 1 out of 45 shades of green, which is sure to please users. And seriously, it helps when creating UI kits for projects.

Image Palette

A plugin that creates a colour palette based on an uploaded image.

Content Buddy

Significantly increases productivity when you need to replace the same text in multiple layouts at once. With this plugin you can not open each layout separately, and make changes automatically to a certain number of layouts (up to 50).

Remove BG

A plugin that allows you to instantly remove the background of an image.

Plug-ins for project organisation

Autoflow

The plugin allows you to create and visualise links between objects and artboards literally in 2 clicks. I use it to illustrate links between different screens, between objects or show page-to-page, component-to-component transitions.

Google Sheets Sync

This plugin allows you to work with Google Sheets: automatically insert data from tables into components without leaving Figma. It’s mega useful if you need, for example, a tabular data to turn into a presentation or report, to export to the client later, for example, in PDF format.

Notepad

If you’re used to using Notepad like I am, install the plugin and take notes while staying in Figma.

Design System Organized

The plugin can be used to organize components. It allows you to group and ungroup them, and to move components within your own library.

If useful, save it. Be sure to share the Figma plug-ins you use in your work.
