Dark Mode Default

Use the dark mode (which Spotify has been using since early days)

White text on a dark backdrop is easier on the eyes than black text on a light background.

Visual comfort leads to more browsing.

The color scheme is a stark contrast to the color scheme used by Apple Music.

Minimalist & Spacious

When compared to Apple Music, the mobile player is more spacious.

Apple has a volume control, which takes up a lot of space on the screen. Spotify does not have a volume control (most people control mobile volume with a side phone button)
