Well said! This is even one of the 10 usability heuristics from Jacob Nielsen: “The system should always keep users informed about what is going on, through appropriate feedback within reasonable time.”

Nick, your example in “4. Limit Content in Card” is not representing a card-based UI, its showing individual screens and components within a mobile app. The “card in the center” you point to is actually a scrollable mobile screen. Please switch out this example because its misrepresenting the designer’s intentions.
