As a designer, showcasing your work on Dribbble can be a powerful way to connect with a larger audience and gain valuable exposure. With millions of users and an incredibly competitive landscape, however, standing out on the platform can be a significant challenge.

But fear not! In this blog post, I’ll share some tips and templates that can help you optimise your Dribbble profile and posts, so you can get noticed by more potential clients and collaborators or even maybe Land your Dream Design Job.

Make your Designs Pop and Visually Stunning on Dribbble

As a designer, it’s crucial that your work is visually polished and consistent with your branding and design style. This means paying attention to the details, such as using high-quality images, selecting the right color palette, and ensuring your typography is on point. Here are few tips 👇🏼

To get consistent typography (Use Major third for regular websites/apps and Perfect fourth for Abstract Websites):

Maximise your Dribbble Impact with scheduled content (30 Days Challenge)

Set a schedule for posting on Dribbble and stick to it. Take a 30 days challenge:

☀️ Morning (Timebox 1.5hrs):

Step 1: Generate Dribbble Ideas using gethired.design
Use http://gethired.design to generate dribbble ideas. I’ve personally curated them for the current market needs and I will keep updating this.

Step 2: Color Palette & Type
Decide on a consistent color palette and typography to use for both shots.

Step 3: Create visuals
Create a cool visual using Figma and Animate using Jitter.video.

Step 4: Experiment
Experiment with different styles and layouts to keep the content fresh and engaging.

Take a 10–15 minute break to go for a walk or stretch.

🌙 Afternoon or at Night:

Step 1: Refine
Refine the sketches and outlines for both shots, making sure they are polished and consistent with your branding and design style. Finally use this template to display the design.

Step 5: Write an engaging and informative title

Step 6: Optimize Dribbble Shot’s Summary
Optimize your Dribbble shot’s description to increase visibility and reach a wider audience.

[Details: Include any interesting or unique details about the process or creation of the work. This could include techniques used, challenges overcome, or any particular insights that you gained from the project.]
[Call-To-Action: Encourage engagement by asking a question or prompting users to share their thoughts on your design.]

Backstory/Inspiration: Inspired by the clean and simple design trends in web design, our team set out to create a website that offered a seamless experience for all users. We wanted to eliminate clutter and make it easy for visitors to find what they were looking for, while also highlighting the most important aspects of our brand.

Details: To achieve this goal, we utilized a variety of techniques, including a minimalist color palette, streamlined navigation, and a responsive design that adjusts seamlessly to different devices. We also spent a lot of time optimizing our content to make sure it was easy to read and understand, and added plenty of calls to action to encourage engagement and conversions. Overall, we’re thrilled with the results and can’t wait to see how our users respond!

Using relevant tags is a great way to get your work in front of people who are interested in what you’re doing. Be sure to use tags that accurately describe your work and style, such as UI/UX design, graphic design, or Dribbble design inspiration.

Checklist:

  • Use the Dribbble search bar to search for each keyword and take note of any relevant tags that appear.
  • Check out the “Popular Tags” section on the Dribbble homepage (https://dribbble.com/tags) to see what tags are currently trending. Consider using any relevant tags in your post.
  • Look at the tags that your competitors are using on their Dribbble posts and take note of any relevant or specific tags.
  • Mix up your tags and try different combinations for each post to find the most effective tags.
