Write a response

Finding a person who is competent in UI design as well as legitimate user research and project planning is often times seen as a hunt for a unicorn type talent.

I think they’re now called Product Designers.

I think there is another red flag that you may want to include in your list. A company that thinks that they can use internal employees as user/customer surrogates. It is analogous to “No visible sign of user-centered evidence-based decision…

A job role that stresses the importance of ‘pixel perfect design’, the ability to create polished and slick looking UI, in-depth front end/back end development, or inbound marketing is ...

I would add “a UX Job assignment that has 3 times the words “wow the user” in the brief and asks you to design a UI without providing any user research or context :/
