In May 2022, Figma launched some new features during Config 2022 (Figma annual conference), but there is one I think is the most powerful: component properties.

During the last two months, I have been playing with this feature, and here is a guide that covers all the information about component properties.

What are component properties?

A component property is a feature that lets you create many options for each component without creating many variants. In the past, we had to create a variant for each option. Using component properties, we can build logic within the component that gives us the same options but with fewer variants.
