In this article, you will find tips on how to calculate a budget for creating a site and what factors are important to be considered.

All designers start working with consumers from the budget calculations. The problem which might arise is how to do this properly and which factors make the price higher or lower.

Budget is one of the key factors for a customer.

So what is the proper way to calculate your design service? The best way is to use hours. As a professional, you can estimate the time required for the section or page you will create. Hours are the best way for the client to understand project time.

To calculate time correctly, you need to take into consideration important factors such as design creativity level, number of pages, additional illustration, or infographics.

Same design layout may take twice more hours if it requires illustration or infographics.

The complexity of design should be discussed with clients in advance. To do this, you can ask 2–3 examples of design he/she likes. So you can estimate your time properly after reviewing.

Another important thing I personally recommend including is extra hours. What are the extra hours? All we are human beings and we cannot predict everything with 1-minute accuracy.

Extra hours will give you a bit of extra time if you need inspiration or more thinking time.

Let`s say you started to work on home page design for an agency. You have begun to wireframe your sections and ready to go with style. But you have so many ideas, so you need to spend time on research to find the best solution.
