Interview Question
- Can you tell me your whole process when you think to attend events?
- Can you talk about a typical experience while searching School/ college events?
- How you find/Register the orientation events?
- How often you go to attend these events?
- What you frustrate most while browsing/ searching/register?
User Personas
ANALYSIS — Empathy mapping
Point gained
“Paragraph question while register do mentally harrased”
“Can’t find past event feedbacks and reviews”
“I register bcz to more socialize and make network ”
Insights
- Students want to register and attend but its take too long to search and apply.
- Students want all information in one place but they have to visit WhatsApp group or social media (ie. Facebook).
- They want feedback, Reviews of past events and Check calendar not to clash with others. Notification to remind for an event.
Needs
- Faster ease apply/ register for events.
- Proper guidance to create fields or category.
- Better organized the events list in a well-managed way.
- Searching interesting events on the tip of a finger.
- While browsing the event the only relevant event is shown.
Summary of need findings
Summary I met students who are very orientated with a career but can’t find their interest events. Crowding is a problem in a lot of events and motivation to attend another get lost. Very hectic and stressful to find/apply. A student doesn’t want to feel bored after attending. Don’t have a proper information
Experience Prototypes /POVs
Assumptions
POV 1
Test vs tags assumption: consumers don’t care about the “story” in a review People want reliable information, and they want it fast.
POV 2
Notification types: assumption: Student is spontaneous when it comes to the middle of the study/work.
Summary for Experience prototypes
- I found that there is no proper platform to find, remind and see details of events for students
- I learned that simple & short reviews generate more trust and excitement.

Search interface selection
Final Prototype for search
Word not Numeric calendar: Word like time eg. today, tomorrow decresed the cognition load and user can perform task fast.
Default location not asking: We are giving default location which is already added by the student.
Category not tags: Browsing by category instead of searching category by adding tags.
Browsing Interface Selection
Results
Final browsing interface
We select the type 2.1 interface because…
Friends attending events: The events that registered by its friends showing in card form with details.
Events on user preferences: Interested events are showing based on user preferences.
Check by category: Category slider to chose user interest without going on the search page.
Task flows
Experimental Result
Success
Category with image fill: The recognition speed faster than the normal text.
Tags instead of Text: Faster interest build in the student by reading tags instead of reading full reviews.
Quick action buttons: where we place Q.A.B in the screen student choose those and save time

(Visual/High-fi mockups)
Tool Used
Figma ( Designing and prototyping)
Pen&paper (Research and Lofi sketches, Ideation)
Sketchapp (Designing and Research work)
Search and find events
Conclude
We made an experience by finding the real problems of students by taking user interview and need-finding and after finding the provlem we check is this problem really exist by taking additional interviews and POVs.
After confirmed the problem in real work by checking through POVs we further started to dig into it. we follow the design process and finally, we get the output of the problem.
