The Rollercoaster of Pivots — a UX Case Study

Hello you! My name is Ayman and I’m writing about my experience with pivoting halfway through my fourth UX project at my immersive bootcamp!

‣ Overview

I’m in week 5 of my UX immersive bootcamp and just finished my project on information architecture (which was tough, by the way). My next project was another group project, I was put together alongside 2 other people from my class and were given our task.

We were to select our own problem space and identify an opportunity within that space to make an impact and design a solution. We have already been through the design thinking process a few times and learned most of the UX methods that were used in the field. So, we had complete freedom in doing what we want using whichever methods we choose!

Now, this sounds awesome (it kinda is), but, having no direction at all can be both a blessing and a curse. My team and I agreed at the beginning that we would just go for it, do the best we can & see what happens.

“In any moment of decision, the best thing you can do is the right thing. The worst thing you can do is nothing.”
Theodore Roosevelt
