9 memories of UX Designer

1. Google search

When I first started, I started to search for “how to become user interface designer” on Google carousels. I was very much surprised to find 9 tips about user interface design. When I’ve it, I thought “Dang, there are so many tips about UI design, who so many people wrote about the same topic?” I really prefer reading a few pages of information to try to tell you about the best UI design book and other resources to show the best UI design tool available. After reading, I think the aim of this article is not to talk about the best collection of UI design tools, but to share UI UX design tips that I can.

2. A how-to guide of HTML and CSS

When I was in college, I tried to learn HTML and CSS because they are the basics of UI design. After learning, try to test in a real app like Facebook. But then I found that there are many different tags, when I just want to use bold, I have to use <b>. When I try to make it italic, I have to use <i>. This is just too much work, getting no results.

3. Dreamweaver

The first tool I really want to use is Dreamweaver on Adobe. The tool is very easy to use, and it is easy to understand the basic HTML structure. You can just use Dreamweaver, and then move from Dreamweaver to the CS package.

4. Design + Prototype + Mockup + Content strategy

It is the process I used to create my first website for a company creating a presentation is to make a prototype without words and without any support. I first did this project with another former designer, and then we used it as a template for every design project.

5. Our first Product on Shopify

The second project I did when I ran another freelancer agency is to create a website for a store. Buy an iPhone or Android phone in China makes less than $ 1000, which makes the customer very happy to be told that they can get much cheaper. But the speed of response was limited, some users could not understand what it was all about, and some users did not buy because it was not fun. In the end, the last version of the website was removed, and users’ opinions were more valuable by far.

6. Adobe Illustrator & Adobe Photoshop

For our development team, I started to make mockups first. At the beginning, I used Adobe Illustrator to make the wireframes, and then Adobe Photoshop to do the final UI designs, but after a while, I realized that it’s not very effective. I often get frustrated, which is frustrating for the user, so I moved to Adobe Photoshop.

7. Google Designer

For web designers, you are probably familiar with Adobe Photoshop. Google Designer is different from Photoshop. The tools are very nice, for example, in Photoshop, you can only custom the color. In Designer, you can customize the color and size.

8. Wunderlist

When I use Google Designer to do the wireframes, I often want to make it into an app and try to do design, not into the actual website. The tool I usually recommend is Wunderlist. I do the same process. Wunderlist is great. I often try to use Wunderlist, like a mockup tool. You can add the necessary functions, like creating lists, and some other functionalities.

9. InVision

InVision can be used to create the UI Prototypes. The app is very simple to use, just a few steps to setup the prototype and make it, I can just follow the steps on InVision or use the live demos to make the most effective website.

For those of you who like to try something new and different.

You may also want to try Sketch. Sketch is very simple to use, and the interface is very simple and intuitive.

How to calculate pay for a designer?

What would you like to earn as a UI designer? Do you think it’s not too expensive to begin with? I think the answer is exactly ‘none’. I have some criteria to determine the relative cost of a UI designer. Firstly, I want to know the hourly rate as well as the rate per project.
