UX/UI Designer’s 2020 Calendar

A bit of history
This is something I’ve been planning since 2017. 😀
Some years ago I really wanted to buy a calendar for the new year. But not any calendar with puppies, landscapes or cars. Something different. Something a bit more special, if you want to. I was at a loss. Everything I could find was too generic, I guess.
I’m that type of designer that takes his… inspiration from the problems he witnesses around him.
It wasn’t long until I decided to make one for myself.
Initially I only thought of a “normal” calendar, but then the idea of doing a “UX calendar” quickly arose.
I already had a few in my mind, but not for all of the months. So I began searching high and wide for terms whose name has the first letter the same as the month’s.
Let me tell you, some of them proved to be a real challenge. 😅
Once finished with that, why leave it as it is? Let’s make each month’s color kind of resembling the weather/temperature. Therefore December, January, February, are blue whereas June, July, August are orange. You know, general weather truths. 🙃
So as I began to tell you, this idea first sprouted in my mind in 2017. The project was basically done in December of that year. But here we are, it’s the 24th of February and it’s still in the same state. Basically done.
Too late.
2018 comes along. This is actually when I came up with the idea of the temperature color-coded months. Again, I managed to be way too late.
Here we are in 2019. This time I said “OK, that’s it. Just do it.”
Here we are
It’s done.
It’s not perfect. The website is not perfect, either.
But it’s out there, for all the people that want something a little different.

You can download it here.
Also, if you have any comments, I’m all open.
All my best,
Alexandru Sinov.
