Volunteer NY Website Redesign — a UX Case Study

Hello you! My name is Ayman and I’m writing about my experience in collaboration during my first UX group challenge!

‣ Overview

So I’m in week 3 of my immersive UX bootcamp at General Assembly, I have just turned in my first project and delivered a presentation for it. I was happy to have finished something and feeling pretty exhausted, but, it was time for the next project!

Not only that, this one was a group project, me and 3 other students (who do not know each other very well) were randomly selected to be a team. Our task was to redesign a non-profit website… in less than 2 weeks!

‣ Problem space

We were asked to redesign a responsive website for a non profit organization (Volunteer NY) and resolve any usability issues that faces their target users.

‣ Users and audience

The users were people who volunteer and/ or interested in volunteering. The audience was (Volunteer NY) who were trying to resolve their users’ issues and make their experience more useful.

‣ Roles and responsibilities
