As an executive master of business administration (EMBA) student, I have found that personal effectiveness is an essential aspect of leadership and professional development, especially from the perspective of an EMBA program.
An Executive MBA program aims to enhance the leadership and management skills of experienced professionals, and a significant focus of this program is personal effectiveness. A person’s ability to manage themselves and their resources efficiently and productively so that they achieve their goals in both their personal and professional lives can be considered a measure of their effectiveness.
The following are some key aspects of personal effectiveness from the perspective of an EMBA:
- Personal effectiveness is based on the ability to be self-aware. Self-awareness is the foundation of personal effectiveness. By gaining a solid understanding of your strengths, weaknesses, values, and motivations, you can make better decisions, set realistic goals, and build on your strengths while addressing your areas for improvement to make the most of your potential.
